All lines of MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro portable computers.

MacBooks are Mac laptops with Intel processors, divided into different lines introduced at different times.

First came the MacBook Pro line, on January 10, 2006, which were eventually upgraded to accommodate retina display.

Then came the MacBook line which was primarily made out of polycarbonate, though one model was an aluminum unibody. Polycarbonate MacBooks were introduced in May 2006 and discontinued in July 2011.

Next the ultra-portable MacBook Air line was introduced in January 2008. MacBook Air was last updated in June 2017.

2015 saw the reincarnation of MacBook lineup (which was discontinued in 2011) with an all new compact and lightweight 12-inch form factor, retina display, minimal USB-C port, headphone jack and new keyboard mechanism called Butterfly keys.

The most recent addition to the MacBook line is the MacBook Pro (fifth generation) featuring a 16" screen, scissor switch keyboard mechanism dubbed Magic Keyboard, return of the physical Esc key and inverted T design for the arrow keys, a much improved audio sub-system and a 100-Wh batter. It became available for sale in November 2019.
