Recently I installed Ubuntu on my MacBook Pro (Mid 2012) on a second volume. I wanted to change to the Ubuntu Volume through Startup Manager and used this tutorial to do so: Installing Ubuntu on Mac with macOS and Windows already installed
All in all I messed around with EFI but it worked. Yesterday I uninstalled Ubuntu and after doing that I could not access my macOS Bootable Volume (with High Sierra)! In Disk Util the Type was set to (FFFF.FFFF,...) which I changed to the correct code for APFS, but it still wouldn’t boot or show in Startup manager.
Anyway I used the Ubuntu partition to reinstall OSX High Sierra which of course did not help accessing my original Volume.
I was able to access my data with third Party data recovery software but I need to make this Volume bootable again. In Diskutil it says that the Volume is Uninitialized (Volume is APFS Format.) Is there anything I can do? If you need more info please ask!
