I was originally motivated by mathematics because I liked finding patterns and visualizing beautiful structures. As I entered my teens, I wanted to understand the limits of logic for philosophical reasons, which led me to do an undergraduate thesis on decidability problems. Along the way during my undergrad, I got to see the beauty of the mathematical landscape in general. I learned that it was the feeling that investigative mathematics gave me--as opposed to the rote, follow-the-steps process I'd come to believe math was in high school--that motivated me; I loved it! Today, I just do math for fun in the mornings. I love learning math and sharing in the experience with others whenever I can.
