XMPP is an open-standard communications protocol. It can be used for instant messaging, but also for various other tasks which involve exchanging data between multiple entities. XMPP is an acronym for "Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol".

XMPP is based on XML and defined in RFC 6120 (XMPP-Core), RFC 6121 (Instant Messaging and Presence) and RFC 6122 (Address Format).

Jabber client with old SSL support

The company I'm working for is using a Jabber server which is kind of old. It doesn't support SSL/TLS with SASL but only plain old SSL. I tried a dozen of Jabber clients for Android but none of them supports this setup. Are there any alternatives?
