Heimdall is a cross-platform open-source tool suite used to flash firmware (aka ROMs) onto Samsung mobile devices, developed by Benjamin Dobell at Glass Echidna.

Heimdall follows the naming scheme (i.e. Norse mythology) of Samsung's leaked flashing software, , and uses Odin's protocol to interact with Samsung devices. Heimdall even claims to be more reliable than Odin.
