I just deleted a picture file from the internal phone memory. I actually deleted the entire Pictures folder. But the app said that 1 file was deleted. Not more than that? I take it this means that the phone camera is using the SD card to store pictures I take. It was stored in /storage/emulated/0
on Galaxy S4 plus.
I'm not sure what picture that was. Is there a way I can recover it? I noticed there's no USB Mass Storage option in Galaxy S4 Plus. Can I still use a recovery software such as PhotoRec or Recuva to restore it?
Update: I only have a long list of local disk volumes (partitions) when I start Recuva. There's no way to select my phone – which is connected as an MTP device (Microsoft protocol for media players) – or any of its partitiions. I have the same problem in PhotoRec. It is however detected by the computer and I can browse its contents in Windows Explorer.
